SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog receives non-compulsory school girls with psychosocial issues, substance abuse, and self-harm problems. The institution is tasked with providing care for girls with special care needs.

Job Description

Do you want to help create a vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as an operational leader is a meaningful role. In the role of operational leader, you are responsible for institution-wide coordination and management of ongoing work outside office hours, in the evenings and nights, to promote a safe care and work environment. You guide and support your colleagues in their work and ensure that the work is conducted legally and in accordance with applicable governing documents, methods, and set goals. Specifically, this means that you are responsible for incident management in alarm situations and take necessary actions after an incident occurs. You communicate noted deficiencies and deviations from routines to relevant managers. You establish and update safety assessments and make decisions regarding coercive measures according to LVU, LSU, and LVM in accordance with SiS work and delegation order.

Qualifications

You have the will and ability to act according to applicable decisions, guidelines, and policies. You have a holistic view and act in the best interest of the organization. Furthermore, you are structured in your work and have a good ability to plan and prioritize effectively. Personal suitability will be of great importance.

You should also have:

• Relevant higher education such as social work, behavioral science, or other equivalent higher education, alternatively at least a two-year vocational education (treatment pedagogue) together with experience of work within SiS or similar operations.
• Several years of experience working within SiS or another organization focused on care, treatment, and safety, such as social services, care and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant operations.
• Good ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate a work group.
• Driver's license and access to a car.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date is according to agreement. Working hours are distributed over days, evenings, and nights.
